HoloZcan

The HoloZcan project, funded by the EU’s Horizon 2020 program and led by Ideas Science Ltd, aims to revolutionize bio-aerosol detection for security actors, including police, disaster managers, and public safety stakeholders.

Deep learning powered holographic microscopy for biothreat detection on field

The HoloZcan project focuses on developing an advanced, portable detection system for accurately classifying pathogens and particles in environmental and exhaled bio-aerosols. Utilizing cutting-edge holographic microscopy and AI, HoloZcan enhances rapid screening of biological threats.

This project addresses significant technological gaps in bio-threat detection, as identified by the ENCIRCLE project, and is designed to continuously innovate through adaptive learning and database optimization.

By incorporating comprehensive methods for collecting biological data, HoloZcan demonstrates versatility in various real-time detection scenarios. Its collaborative approach, involving CBRN practitioners in design and execution, ensures practical relevance and technological advancement in bio-aerosol sensing and measurement.
